Our story

A couple of miles south of Shipshewana, off State Road 5, there's a shop where furniture is still made the slow way — one board, one joint, one piece at a time. No particleboard, no veneer over sawdust. Just solid hardwood, worked by hand by a small crew of Amish woodworkers who've been at it long enough to be quietly, unmistakably good.

Bring in a room to furnish or a picture torn from a magazine, and they'll build it in the wood you choose, to the size you need, in a finish that fits the rest of your home. It's the kind of furniture you don't replace — you hand it down.

The Material

Six solid hardwoods.

Every piece is built from real, solid lumber — pick the wood that suits the room and the way you live.

CherryWarms and deepens with age.
WalnutRich, dark, dramatic grain.
OakHard, open-grained, classic.
MaplePale, smooth, hard-wearing.
HickoryTough, rustic character.
Quarter-Sawn White OakRay-fleck figure, Mission-era favorite.

In the Shop

Made by hand, paid by handshake.

Long Lane is a small Amish family shop — a handful of woodworkers who build everything on site and sell it, plain and simple, for cash or a check. No showroom gimmicks, no financing games. You'll deal with the people who actually make the furniture, and you'll leave with something that outlives the sale.

This page is a concept — built for Long Lane, free, to show what's possible.

Intense Visions put this together after seeing Long Lane had no website of its own. Below is what it would take to make it real — the plan, the price and the timeline. Everything above is yours to keep either way.

Where We'd Help You Get Found

Shipshewana & all of Amish country.

Shipshewana draws furniture shoppers from across the Midwest. A real website puts Long Lane in front of the ones searching “Amish furniture near me” — locals and the busloads who make the trip.

  • Middlebury
  • Topeka
  • LaGrange

The Proposal

A real website, done for you.

Your neighbors — Fairview Woodworking, Shipshewana Furniture Co., Weaver — already have polished sites pulling in shoppers online. Long Lane has the 5.0 rating and the craftsmanship, and it's invisible on Google. Let's fix that.

What's included

  • A custom, mobile-first websiteDesigned around Long Lane — this look, tailored, not a template. Home, work, reviews, visit & quote.
  • Found on GoogleLocal SEO built in: location pages, “Amish furniture near me” keywords, structured data, fast Core-Web-Vitals pages.
  • Google Business Profile setupClaim and optimize the free listing that wins the map — most shops nearby haven't.
  • A free-quote form to your inboxSpam-protected, goes straight to you. Plus a simple way to collect real Google reviews.
  • Your own web addressWe register it, set it up, and manage it — see the options below.

  • You own the site
  • Care plan required to keep it live & safe
  • $49–59/mo adds ongoing edits
For comparison: local agencies charge $3,000–$6,000 to build a site like this, and managed “website services” run $299–$450/month. Long Lane's near-neighbors pay somewhere in that range. Our number is built on Cloudflare + AI, so we can do custom work for far less.

Your web address

Heads up: longlanefurniture.com is already registered by a business directory (not by you) and points to their own listing — so your exact name online sends people somewhere else. These are open right now, and we can also try to acquire the .com on your behalf:

Straight answers

How much, really?

$99/mo all-in with nothing down, or about $1,500 to own it outright plus a care plan from $20/mo. Both are estimates we confirm on a short call — no surprises.

How long until it's live?

Roughly two to three weeks from the day we have your go-ahead and a few photos — see the timeline below.

Do I own the site or rent it?

Your choice. The $99/mo plan is all-inclusive (like renting, cancel after 12 months). The own-it plan makes it yours outright, with a small care plan to keep it hosted and secure.

What does the monthly cover?

Hosting, SSL security, backups, uptime monitoring and updates — and on the higher plans, ongoing edits whenever you need them.

Can I cancel?

Yes — the all-in plan is a 12-month minimum, then cancel anytime. No long lock-in.

What about my current listings?

They stay put. This adds a real home base you control and points everything at it — including that directory-owned domain, which we'll work to bring back to you.
